Yesterday was a big day for me and for several Orlando artists…it was the inaugural run of the SunRail’s Art is Moving train! It all happened so quickly that the media did not get a change to cover it but it is all over Face Book.
Yesterday, most of the artists met at the Winter Park train station to board the new Art is Moving Car on the SunRail. We congregated there, took group pictures and awaited our first glimpse of “our train.” many of the artists are shown here, but several were missing as well!
Our train came, and we scurried on board to see where our art resided. Most of it was on the upper deck, including my two pieces, “Concerto in Three Minor Hearts” and “Can’t See the Figures for the Trees.”
We took the train south to its at at Sand Lake and then headed back to Winter Park, all on the upper floor, getting to know each other and having a good time, in our excited state.
Our art work will be featured on the train for the next six months, but it is only on ONE car…#3500, so you will have to look for it on the SunRail schedule. Besides the notoriety we all gained, the best part was connecting with all the other artists, and hopefully, becoming friends!
Cheers and keep the art moving on!
